The flagship site for the country's only museum dedicated to the art, history, technique, and technology of the moving image in all its forms. It's our third major project with them since 2008.

Museum of the Moving Image

The mission of the Museum of the Moving Image is to advance the public understanding and appreciation of the art, history, technique, and technology of film, television, and digital media. They use their website as a major tool to promote exhibitions, panel discussions, educational programs, as well as publishing an online magazine devoted to film, television, and digital media in all of its forms. The goal was to find an easy to use solution that would allow them to curate, manage and update this vast amount of information.

During our discovery phase, we were able to architect out the technical and administrative requirements, and subsequently were able to deliver a dynamic, fully customized CMS platform. As a result, the Museum of the Moving Image is now able to easily manage and promote not only the hundreds of film-related events around NYC each week, but their own exhibitions, educational panels and online public discussion series.

Our goal was to empower the Museum of the Moving Image administrative staff with the ability to focus on the user experience without ever having to worry about adding to their workload. Their customized CMS platform gives them the freedom and flexibility to concentrate on the important facets which drive their ROI metrics: content, education, sponsorship and special events.

New York International Auto Show

Since its origins in 1900, The New York International Auto Show has grown to nearly one hundred individual events, conferences, industry forums, symposiums, award ceremonies, roundtables, and parties. The goal was to build and maintain a website that reflected this rich history and ultimately, give its users another forum to interact with each other - while keeping the integrity of the shows thought-leadership, branding and messaging on point.

We took great care in building out ways for their users to easily see, share and enjoy every facet of the show. A branded, fast loading video vehicle gallery was designed to not only highlight the latest car innovations, but also fully integrated with social media components. An entire section was designed – 'Sights and Sounds' – which is used to highlight car and event videos, as well as a fun, interactive trivia quiz.

Keeping in mind the revenue generating needs of the show, call-to-action components were designed and implemented under the 'shows info' section and fully integrated with the location, travel and printable floor plans. Along these same lines, we developed a branded, password protected area for members of the press and exhibitors – making it easy for all involved to co-ordinate and plan what they needed to do to ensure the show's success.

Claudia Patel

The fashion industry is one of New York City's main engines of commerce. A vibrant member of that community, Claudia Patel is an exciting designer whose goal was to fuse subtle Asian aesthetics to contemporary design. Her dream was to build a website for her brand that had the sense and sensibility of classic items that every modern woman should have in her wardrobe, but rich with texture and culture that would be woven into every piece. Our goal was to materialize her vision into a functional, well branded website.

An overall look and feel was established, which we then set about implementing into a lush, graphics based website. Being aware of how tricky graphics can be on the web, especially when being viewed on various screen sizes, it was also decided that the site would be developed using Responsive Web Design standards. As such, Claudia's site gave users the ability to enjoy a seamless shopping experience regardless of the device being used – Mobile, Tablet, Desktop.

In keeping with the need for high conversion rates and low bounce rates, we designed the purchasing navigation in such a way that the user never left her site, while on the back-end we developed a custom integration platform which communicated with her fulfillment system. As a thought-leadership center piece we designed Claudia's online, interactive 'look book' highlighting her top designs.

Trinity Wall Street

Founded in 1697, Trinity Church is a one of New York city's most vibrant churches. Interestingly enough it is also a major grant-making organization and Real Estate owner. The spiritual and secular nature of Trinity Church gave us an interesting opportunity to effectively convey their presence on a website, without losing any integrity and historical branding - effectively mirroring Trinity's off-line capabilities and offerings.

The website itself is a complex mixture of messaging, information and ecommerce – all tied together with a simple, elegant design that strongly conveys consistent branding and thought-leadership. The site itself has matured and grown over the years –A complex 'calendar of events' was constructed , enabling users to with the ability to drill down on specific areas of interest, set 'reminders' as well as 'share' via social media. Robust webcast system and video portals are also features which we developed and designed – both containing customized search functionality divided into categories, preachers, and topics. A branded Ecommerce platform - with a universal log-in capability - includes user registration/payments to annual conferences and seminars as well as an online gift shop.

As with a majority of our clients we also built a fully customized CMS platform, enabling them to easily manage their massive amount of content, ecommerce, video and calendar events.

Harbor Regional Center

Harbor Regional Center provides quality services, support, information and choices for people with developmental disabilities and their families. HRC uses its website to build awareness of their services, wealth of resources and numerous events; and provide a means for staff and service providers to gain protected access to hundreds of documents and forms necessary to perform their various functions. We were tasked with building out these needs into a well branded, easy-to-use website that retained HRC's messaging and branding.

The overall design was branded to keep it in line with its non-profit status – exuding an appealing, user friendly warmth and conviction that aligned with their mission statement. And, as with all non-profit entities, careful attention was paid on how to incorporate various levels of call-to-action strategy – for participation and donations in particular. These motifs were consistently highlighted and strengthened via the websites smooth user navigation architecture, its seamless event registration, video testimonial and donations section.

Being a regulated industry, there was a need for a password protected staff area with access to regulatory documents and forms as well as staff only events. This section was developed and fully branded, giving the user a fluid, seamless experience.

ECF Vital Practices

Vital Practices is an online Episcopalian community that curates articles by experts, blogs, tools for stewardship as well as providing interactive forums designed to enlighten and educate. The mission of the website is to provide a seamless environment for an exchange of ideas. As such, the challenge was to design the website with the ability to store a large amount of information, yet maintain its user friendly integrity.

A simple, open lay-out was decided upon, and then subsequently implemented. Features were consistently developed with user engagement in mind. A prime example: the global tagging of content - which allows users to view specific content by topics of interest. We also developed live chat features that include question submissions, moderation and live updating and transcriptions.

On the non-public side, we developed a branded, member only content area equipped with a seamless online registration system on the front end, and a user management section on the back-end, which was built into their customized CMS platform. Their CMS also was developed to facilitate easy aggregation and management of user generated content (UGC) forms for both text and multimedia submission.

Middle Collegiate Church

Middle Collegiate Church is the oldest of the Collegiate Churches in New York, and is the oldest continuously active congregation in America. The Collegiate Churches of New York were the first corporations in the United States, having received a royal charter from King William III of England in 1696. Their history has been integrally linked to many key historical events throughout American history. Our task was to design and develop a website that not only conveyed the history of the church, but all the while promoting its current vibrant role in the community.

During the discovery phase, the church stressed that their ideal was to have an open, user friendly design. With that in mind, we designed and developed the site to rely less on graphics and information laden copy, but rather to convey a thought-leadership role by dint of the church's many community and religious programs. As the center-piece for this mindset, a robust, user-friendly calendar was developed. Since literally dozens of music, dance, film events are sponsored monthly by The Collegiate Church, the calendar had to be robust, yet promote user engagement as well. We developed and designed the calendar to not only have highly personalized capabilities but at the same time maintain a friendly user experience imperative. A concrete example of this intuitive navigation comes across when users have a desire to set, and share, their extensive webcast system (and sermon archives) – for both live and on-demand video.
